hrhdhd Posted January 14, 2018 #26 Share Posted January 14, 2018 If I recall correctly, Krazy Kruizers lives in Nova Scotia. He/she would have to fly to Toronto or Montreal to get to most places (I live in Montreal, and have family in Halifax). Never mind.
Cruise or Lose! Posted January 14, 2018 #27 Share Posted January 14, 2018 I understood that she meant direct flights to popular ports of embarkation, of which Montreal may be considered one. I tried to delete my post, but could not find that option. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
willow949 Posted January 14, 2018 Author #28 Share Posted January 14, 2018 I started this thread and just wanted people to be aware of what flying it may take to do your desired cruise. We are 4 star with Hal, so not new to cruising. We have been to Alaska, but not to Denali. I wanted to see that part of Alaska, but after finding out Hal finishes up in Fairbanks with no good flights home,it was a deal breaker for DH. The options were to leave at midnight and take three planes with layovers home on the next morning. Or pay twice as much and still take three planes home to Southern California to (Orange County airport )at 7am and get to the home airport at 10:15pm. That is longer than our South America trips! So, I changed to a 14 day cruise that goes all the way up to Anchorage ,etc. I have looked at other cruise lines with land trips to Denali and they don’t seem as long of flights. So I may do more looking at options, and still go next year. Just do your homework if you don’t like to sit in airports and make many plane changes.
