we are cruising in March to st.martin and my husband wants to fly fish at great salt pond. We are taking the ferry to great bay beach and hanging out there. His question is, is great salt pond walking distance from where we will be?

Since Great Salt Pond is primarily a bird sanctuary, I doubt they will allow any kind of fishing, boating or bathing in the pond....besides it's also a kind of garbage dump/sump so you probably wouldn't want to be wading in it anyway.
