Rare Hlitner Posted January 23, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 23, 2018 Is there a vaporetto stop at the cruise port or do you have to take the people mover? If you are in the main cruise port (Maritima) there is no vaporetto stop. That being said, the Alilaguna (Blu Line) does have a stop in the port. The closest major vaporetto stop would be at the Pizzale Roma....where you can then get the People Mover. However, keep in mind that the vaporetto piers are on the opposite side of the square from the People Mover station...so you would need to drag yourself and luggage across the square. Another option is to take a land taxi from the P. Roma (closer to the vaporetto piers then the People Mover) to the port...but this will likely cost you about 20€ for a taxi (a major rip off considering the distance is less than 1 mile). JodiBB Posted January 31, 2018 #3 Share Posted January 31, 2018 What if the ship dicks in San Basilio? I confirmed with WindStar today this is where we’ll most likely be docking. It looks like there’s a Vaporetto that stops there, but can someone confirm this? Thanks Sent from my iPad using Forums
Rare steamboats Posted January 31, 2018 #4 Share Posted January 31, 2018 Line 2 gets you to Tronchetto which is sort of walking distance to the port. JodiBB, yes, line 2 has a stop at San Basilio. steamboats
