Ginnyfyr Posted January 28, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 28, 2018 EZ Check was not available to us on our last Princess cruise as we were flying from Ft. Lauderdale to Toronto. In September we will be on an Emerald Pacific Coastal sailing round trip out of Vancouver. Does anyone know if EZ Check is available for domestic flights within Canada? We're starting to price flights and times and would love to be able to enjoy a bit of extra time in Vancouver at the end of our trip without having to lug our bags around (and anything is preferable to spending hours sitting around the airport!) Thrak Posted January 28, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 28, 2018 Nope. Pretty sure there is no EZ Check in Canada. It used to be available in multiple US cities but I believe it is now only available in Fort Lauderdale and Seattle.
Ginnyfyr Posted January 28, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted January 28, 2018 Thank you! Now we'll have to decide if we just want to hang out at the airport (who wants that?!), schlep our bags there on our own and then head off to explore, or maybe just stay an extra night in Vancouver so we won't have to worry about it! I'm leaning toward option 3 :D
Rare martincath Posted January 28, 2018 #4 Share Posted January 28, 2018 ^Sounds like you've already decided on the best option! If you do end up not being able to spare the time, as long as your flight back is after 6pm you can send your bags to YVR using the baggage check folks at the pier, CDS. $40 and you go pick them up at the domestic terminal when you get to the airport. If it's not inconvenient to revisit the pier, it's cheaper to just store them there ($8 per bag, or $5 if you take them upstairs to the Pan Pacific bell desk). We will keep that in mind for future visits. We decided to reverse things and fly into Vancouver 2 days early and have booked a noon flight home so we'll just suck it up and head to the airport right from the cruise pier. By the end of the cruise I'm ready to just get home and snuggle our cats anyway. Our cruise ends on a Thursday so we'll still get to enjoy three days relaxing at home before we have to head back to work. 236 days and counting, lol.
