4774Papa Posted February 20, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 20, 2018 We are looking at a safari that starts in Nairobi and ends in Tanzania. I see that we can purchase our Kenyan visa online prior to travel. The Tanzanian visa is not available online and must be purchased one of two ways, in advance where you mail in your passports or go to the embassy in Washington, DC. I would prefer not doing that. The other option is to purchase on arrival in the country. Only four places are listed for on arrival. We enter the country from Kenya. It appears that our safari route would enter at that site. Does anyone have any experience with this?
Cotswold Eagle Posted February 20, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 20, 2018 Are you crossing at Namanga? I haven’t done it, but very common to obtain visa at the crossing. If paying cash make sure you have new, clean USD notes (I don’t know if they’ll take credit cards). Crossing from Kenya it is more likely than not that they will want to check your Yellow Fever inoculation. Sent from my iPad using Forums
