englander Posted February 25, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 25, 2018 We have sailed on at least 10 different RCI ships and find the availability of sugar-free / no sugar added foods varies ship to ship. With so many people dealing with diabetes and / or just wanting to cut calories why isn't there more choices? There used to be sugar free Jello every day right along side the regular Jello. And cookies of various flavors were usually available. Our last few cruises we are finding it more difficult to find even these simple options. We've tried talking to chefs and mgrs but I feel we are not being heard. What will it take to get RCI to listen?
cb at sea Posted February 26, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 26, 2018 Geez...most of the desserts are "sugar free"...what more do you want? And diabetes isn't all about SUGAR...it's about CARBS...which can be present without ANY sugar/sucrose, etc...at all! A medium apple has more "sugar" than a cookie!
