stasys Posted March 13, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 13, 2018 How far off the beach typically is good snorkeling? 10ft, 100ft, 1000ft, more? My wife and I enjoy snorkeling, but are not interested in swimming long distances to reach the snorkeling sites. We have done snorkeling from boat tours and have no problem swimming around once at the snorkeling site. If far from shore we will probably opt for a boat tour instead of just doing beaches. Thanks. At Tobacco Bay the good snorkeling there is right off the beach to the right. You don’t really have to swim. There is more good snorkeling on the other side of the far end rocks. Most don’t go out there but the water inside Tobacco Bay is shallow almost all the way out. You can practically walk most of the way. When I say good beach snorkeling, none of the beach snorkeling I have done in Bermuda has been as good as snorkeling off a boat in the Caribbean. Or snorkeling off a beach in Bonaire. SailBadtheSinner Posted March 19, 2018 #4 Share Posted March 19, 2018 How do you get there from Kings wharf, please and thanks. Assuming your asking how to get to Tobacco Bay. You would take the Dockyard to St George's ferry. and from there walk (15-20 minutes) or take a taxi for a quick ride. SBtS
