Viclo12 Posted December 28, 2005 #1 Share Posted December 28, 2005 Does anyone know where Royal Caribbean ships are dry docked, specifically in San Francisco? Thanks.
springtxbill Posted December 28, 2005 #2 Share Posted December 28, 2005 I doubt any are actually drydocked in San francisco due to the higher costs of drydocking in the US.
Bequia Posted December 28, 2005 #3 Share Posted December 28, 2005 Does anyone know where Royal Caribbean ships are dry docked, specifically in San Francisco? Thanks. Increased cruise ship traffic has increased the number of cruise ships going into the San Francisco Dry Dock. In 2004 the SF Drydocks had a 15% growth in business and in 2005 it is estimated to have an additional 15% growth. In 2004 there were 5 cruise ships that went into the drydock for repair. Each Cruise ship in Dry Dock provides for approximately 300 union labor jobs. http://www.sfgov.org/site/sfport_index.asp?id=28530 You can check with BAE Systems San Francisco Ship Repair Foot of 20th Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, 415-861-7447 http://www.baesystems-sanfranciscoshiprepair.com/sfdship.html There's also The Bay Ship and Yacht Company facility in Alameda http://www.bay-ship.com/profile.html For specific information on where RCCL dry docks their ships in SF contact http://www.sfgov.org/site/mainpages_form.asp?id=18611
