KayKay60 Posted March 24, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 24, 2018 I will be visiting St John in May and would like to go hiking but need a relatively easy and non-strenuous trail as I have a bad knee. Any suggestions?
Ms411 Posted March 25, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 25, 2018 The Lind Point Trail is the best option for cruisers because it's close to the ferry dock. It's considered an easy hike but depending on where you start there are stairs to get to the trail and it's not a flat hike. I don't know of any flat hiking trails in the VI. chipeneezer Posted April 18, 2018 #3 Share Posted April 18, 2018 Go to the Annaberg Sugar Plantation and then do the Leinster Bay Trail. The trail is mostly flat with a few ruins and views of Waterlemon Cay. If you also want to snorkel you can snorkel around Waterlemon Cay. It is at the end of the Leinster Bay Trail and has some of the best walk in snorkeling on St John. We saw turtles, eagle rays, baracuda, tons of fish and beautiful coral. Waves of Blue Posted April 18, 2018 #4 Share Posted April 18, 2018 Conditions will only improve by May, but access to areas that far east on St John was still questionable a few weeks ago. Your taxi driver would know or you can just drive as far as the roads will take you .. all beaches are nice on St John ... Info is from ranger at the SJ visitors center, but she seemed a bit confused ...
Rare jean87510 Posted April 20, 2018 #5 Share Posted April 20, 2018 My husband and I hiked this trail to get to honeymoon today and I thought it was ok. Watch a YouTube video of hike and ask your dr.
