Carnival Elation-Parking in Jacksonville

Was looking into parking at the Jacksonville airport for our cruise in May. Has anyone parked there for a cruise? How was the shuttle and over all experience? It is much cheaper than parking at the port, as we will have two cars.

Last time I sailed out of Jacksonville (almost 8 years ago) we stayed a night at the Hyatt Place by the airport, they allowed us to leave the car there and take a shuttle to the port, so we got a hotel room and a weeks parking for the same price as parking at the port.

 

Shuttle was fine, and car was safe and one piece when we returned.

I agree. $17/day is very reasonable and the porters will take your luggage to and from your car. Of course this is from someone who pays $40/day in NYC. :D

Airport parking is $46 for 5 days and port parking is $75 for 5 days. Just wondering if the savings would be worth the 15 min. + shuttle from the airport....

I think Jacksonville has the easiest parking !!! I think it's worth it to get right off the ship and get in your car and head home :)

I recommend parking at the pier. Easy in and easy out. The time and effort spent dealing with a shuttle are totally worth the $ trade off.
