rfs7306 Posted April 30, 2018 #1 Share Posted April 30, 2018 I was wondering if there is anyone who might know if there is a elevator instead of the long bridge to get on the ship? My husband has trouble walking long distances. Once on the ship he is usually fine and can find a seat if needed. He does not use a wheelchair so he is truly not handicapped. Thanks for any info. Not sure on the elevator but staff will have a wheelchair available and will assist at getting you on board.
MDTrip Posted August 8, 2018 #3 Share Posted August 8, 2018 My 85 year old mother is the same way. We always order a wheelchair just for boarding as she cannot stand for long periods.
Cruiser_1977 Posted August 8, 2018 #4 Share Posted August 8, 2018 There is an elevator. However, when boarding in June 2018, I did not see anyone utilizing it. There were folks using wheelchairs. I assume that in order to avoid the me toos, they just cordon it off.

Contact the Access desk and request a wheelchair for boarding 866-584-9756 While your husband does not need a wheelchair, it is a long walk through the terminal, up to the gangway, and then across to the ship. You don't want an accident on embarkation day. Get a ride onto and off of the ship.
