LVWineaux Posted November 14, 2019 #26 Share Posted November 14, 2019 HAL and Princess are corporate siblings - both owned by Carnival Corp. Many similarities, especially in Alaska. You can't go wrong with either.
crystalspin Posted November 14, 2019 #27 Share Posted November 14, 2019 As of now, the only way I would sail with Princess is if and when I can swing a mini-suite. Princess has removed the second, upholstered, chair from all rooms 'below' that category. Some people have been able to get a second desk chair from their steward, but you can't count on that. We are sailing in two mini-suites on Princess next June (to Alaska). Because two MS were not much more than three OV's for the five of us. But we two did cancel a 28-day cruise in an oceanview. Sitting on the bed for anything beyond putting on one's shoes, is not acceptable.
honumaui Posted January 7, 2020 #28 Share Posted January 7, 2020 Is there a reason you are limiting yourself to those two lines. We cruised Alaska with a Denali extension on Oceania and loved it. We also went on Windstar . They do zodiac and kayak tours right off the ship and had several young naturalists on board. Check out their itineraries.
