my family and I love going to St Thomas .. and we have always opted to go to Coki beach.. however after an unsavoury experience we are looking to expand our horizons to other beaches in st Thomas .. I refuse to pay to go on a public beach so any free beaches which have amenities like toilets and drinks to purchase would be preferred

Thank you in advance

We've been to Sapphire Beach on our last two visits to St. Thomas. No charge to get in and they have food/drinks, restroom facilities, and you can rent loungers. They did not have umbrellas either time we were there, but there were plenty of shade trees that they'll put them under for you, unless you'd rather be in the sun. Many also just throw their towels in the sand. It didn't seem to get packed, although there were others there. What we really loved were the views...it's on the eastern side of St. Thomas and has excellent views of St. John and other islands in the BWI. Both times it took us between 20 and 30 minutes to get there (it's between the Red Hook ferry to St. John and Coki Beach).
