jlp20 Posted September 19, 2018 #26 Share Posted September 19, 2018 Take the Princess Ultimate Ship Tour for $150 and you will see where the morgue is located. It is in the medical center, not in the supplies area for the galley. This was over 10 years ago. On a new "Mega Ship" I would think your statement is true. jlp20 Posted September 19, 2018 #27 Share Posted September 19, 2018 In most cases where a passenger has to disembark due to illness or injury, a traveling companion will want to disembark with that person. You again are correct, in a "voluntary" situation. The subject here is being removed by doctor/captain's orders. Cruise lines will not expose themselves to possible litigation by keeping injured/sick pax on board with their very limited medical center. The story I've read on these boards have security escorting ENTIRE party ashore. Not saying it didn't happen, but posts did not mention anything about options. Just security physically coming in and packing up entire cabin within 20 minutes.
Haboob Posted September 20, 2018 #28 Share Posted September 20, 2018 This was over 10 years ago. On a new "Mega Ship" I would think your statement is true. Well, since even flowers stored in a food reefer 10 years ago would get a ding from a CDC inspection...
Kartgv Posted September 20, 2018 #29 Share Posted September 20, 2018 Since the thread started by asking about a 93 year old, thought I'd pass along that we had lunch on the Golden a couple of days ago with a 93 year old who could probably run rings around me. She was a happy, energetic lady with wonderful stories. We found out yesterday that she did zip-lining in Juneau - was very excited and happy about it! I'm sure the operator required that she sign a release, but they require that of everyone.
