"Ninja Edit" window?

Since I post almost totally from a tablet or a phone, sometimes typos appear and I notice them immediately after hitting "Submit." It's easy enough to go back and edit, but then the post carries an "Edited" flag.

Is it possible to add a short period like 3 to 5 minutes, during which edits can be made but not flagged as edited posts? Many other forums I use have this feature which is useful when all you want to do is correct typing errors or make your post a little clearer. Of course this assumes that posts no longer lock for editing 5-10 minutes after they were made, in which case marking a forum post as Edited doesn't really seem necessary.
