Mariner Pool Heated?

Hello, we are looking at booking an Alaskan cruise on RSSC and wondered if the pool is heated. Our teens love to swim and this is a big deal for them. Could anyone here please advise? Thanks so much!!!

On my one Mariner cruise to Alaska I was expecting to swim

in a heated pool too, but was disappointed it was not.

 

I remember asking at the reception desk why it was not heated, and

I was advised the heating of the pool would contribute to

the development of germs and bacteria in the water.

 

I think I swam in it anyway because on our cruise it was

actually quite warm when we were in Alaska, so it ended up not being

too bad---but it was COLD in the pool .

The pool is a salt water pool.

It is drained every night and filled every morning.

I think it is this way on just about all cruise lines.

Now the hot tubs are fresh water

If the pool is heated,I think some of the guests are warming it up the old fashioned way.:rolleyes:
