VF Steel Verandah, Deck 4 Koningsdam/Niew Statendam

I know I have seen mentions and photos of these balances here, but can not find them in a search.  Do people find the larger balcony makes up for the solid railing?

Here is a pic that shows the difference between the steel-wall and plexiglas railings.  It really only matters if you expect to see something while seated. When you are at sea there generally isn't an awful lot to see anyway, and if you're like me you would likely be standing at the railing when entering or leaving port. Tall people who sit up straight can see over the wood rail a little while seated.
