Big storm off Uruguay?

Has anyone heard anything about MSC Poesia running into a big storm off Punta del Este last week. Rumor has it a crew member posted pictures and video of damage and was fired for it....

We had a lot of rain, thunder and lightning and high winds in my area, we are about an hour from Punta del Este.  Some areas further inland had  roofs blown off, people evacuated, trees down, no power and a major water pipe was damaged resulting in no water in some areas.  There were reports of up to 10 inches of rain.

There are still orange alerts for bad weather in the north of Uruguay and there are areas that are flooded, a bus in Colonia today got caught in deep water and the passengers had to be evacuated.
