Carnival Paradise Point Excursion Question

We have been to St Thomas 6 or 7 times but never went up to Paradise Point.  We would like to go and buy the excursion through the ship.  My question is that the excursion says departure time of 8 am.  Since this is a self guided tour, is that true?  Or can I just use the ticket to go up whenever we get there?

Paradise Point opens at 8am when the ships start to arrive. Our experience has been that that tickets were actually a few bucks cheaper through Carnival than at PP itself. You can go at any time if I recall, starting at 8am. PP lifts are located across the street from the Heavensight terminal so you just walk up and present your tickets at the booth to enter.

Yes, you can go whenever, I think you can go more than once. Morning pics are better because afternoon the sun faces your camera.

Anyone know how late it stays open.   We put from 11:30 to 7pm.  Was wanting to go to Magens Bay and shop first.
