Hoyaheel Posted January 10, 2019 #1 Share Posted January 10, 2019 Even though I'd prefer to do a city visit (still maybe on the table) husband does love river cruises, so I've started to look at Budapest options for a Christmas markets cruise (our first/only RC so far was NUE-BSL Christmas markets Dec 2014). I don't see any cruises (so far...) that do "all" of Europe - the Amsterdam to Budapest itinerary. Is that too long an itinerary for around the holidays? Not popular/not selling? Just curious, don't recall reading anything on here about why that might be....
Hoyaheel Posted January 10, 2019 Author #2 Share Posted January 10, 2019 Looks like Scenic offers that itinerary, haven't seen it on Avalon/AMA/Emerald/Tauck/Uniworld though.....
Rare gnome12 Posted January 10, 2019 #3 Share Posted January 10, 2019 I'd be very careful about checking the dates of the markets along the route. The longer the cruise, the more likely that markets won't be open everywhere along the way.
Hoyaheel Posted January 10, 2019 Author #4 Share Posted January 10, 2019 I'm fairly well aware of the dates of markets, thanks. Also probably not able to take that much time off (we're not retired - I can take off work but husband runs his own company and doesn't like to be away that long). I was really just curious as to why it's not an option. Still don't know the answer to that 😉
