Back-2-Back Cruises

Has anyone done back-2-backs? How do they handle:

1) Stay in room, during switch over?

2) Keep same Sign/Sail Cards?

3) Re-Assign Dinning Room tables?

etc, etc.

We're doing Triumph 4/22 & 4/29. Appreciate any feedback.

each week is a seperate cruise.

Did you book the same cabin for both weeks? if so you dont have t opack and unpack.

if not-- you pack up and the cabin steward helps you move.

You get another sign and sail card. its another week. and tips should bepaid each week coz youmight have different people.

the pursers desk will take you through the checkout and check back in process. Painless. then you can enjoy the ship all by yourself. (nothing will be opened til 10 but the gym/hottubs will be opened. as should the pools. (deck chairs without the hogs..lol

you can have the same diing room table...ask the matre d the first week.

Are you doing different itineraries? The rest of the cruise will be the same. Same menu, same shows.

Lucky you doing a B2B on the Triumph - you will have a wonderful time with the staff - they are awesome. We had wished we had booked a B2B the day we disembarked.....maybe next year!!!!

Serene - they do eastern with San Juan, St. Thomas, St, Martin and western with GC, Coz and Ocho Rios. Very nice for a B2B!!

How much money do you save, if any, by doing back to back cruises?

If you save any money--its very minor- each cruise is treated as a seperate cruise. What you do save is airfare and repacking for a second week.

the spa will be opened on the last day for you-- But remember to be outta there by noon as it is opened for tours and making reservations for the new people. Hot tubs in the gym/spa people are the best. (for one no kids allowed. The water is always warmer here then on the pool decks.

Cost was not a saving factor - FYI except that I am a Vet - and did get that reduction on both legs.

Good news about the spa/gym being open, as we'll be using it frequently. Always use the hot tub there anyway - as NO KIDS ALLOWED!

Did our shore excursions today - on line. Makes it so nice, knowing you don't have to fight lines at Tour Desk once on-board! Thank You Carnival! We generally do ship tours, then we don't have to worry about being late back to ship - or refunds for cancelled tours.

We figure if you spend $2 grand on a cruise, we can afford to pay $50-75 more for CCL tour - and peace-of-mind. However, we won't say what our bar bill is!
