The breakaway is only in port from 7am until 1:30 on our March 31 trip. That seems like a very short time. We wanted to do Maya Chan but would we have enough time to make it worthwhile? Any other recommendations for a short stop?

Remember Costa Maya is EST year round and USA will be on DST by then which depending on where you leave from,  and your captain, local hours could be different.

I am not one for eating and drinking on the beach that early in the day but you have plenty of time to get to and from the malecon if you desire. Maybe Mexican breakfast then lunch back on board?
