Kiran Posted February 3, 2019 #1 Share Posted February 3, 2019 Starting to panic as cruise draws near. My Mom has limited mobility and stamina at 87 and after a recent hip replacement. I will pay whatever necessary for her to have easy to access shade. Even walking 60 feet over sand intimidates her. What are the options for Labadee? We are a party of 6 but her having accessible shade and lounger/bed is paramount.

irisheileen Posted February 4, 2019 #3 Share Posted February 4, 2019 Check the Royal Caribbean forum. I have shared my research on shade and mobility issues on Labadee with you there.
zachary16 Posted February 12, 2019 #4 Share Posted February 12, 2019 Just got back from there and there are lots of options; plenty of cabanas to rent. There are some buildings and picnic pavilions but also Columbus Cove in the back of the property has lounge chairs and plenty of trees. There is a tram that can take her there or a paved sidewalk where you could use a wheelchair from the boat. Might be worth sending someone out early to snag a chair in the shade for her, that way she can be on the beach with the family, whereas the other options are more separated. I'm sure RC staff can help you guys as well.
