Reduced deposit sales?

Planning on booking our first longer cruise then normal. It is an 11 nigher and of course deposits are higher. $900.

Do they do reduced deposits ever as a sale? or just the usual 60% guest, kids free stuff?

No reduced deposit promos anymore, with the exception of a non-refundable deposit booking while onboard a cruise.

The deposit for a non-refundable category of Junior Suite and below, booked onboard, would be $100 per person.

I recently took advantage of a reduced deposit deal but it was on the UK website. It was £75 per person which works out at about $100.

Yes, you are right, but in my case since I would be booking under European rules anyway I wouldn't have access to that, so it let me lock in the cruise with a small enough deposit that I could simply cancel and rebook in the event of a really significant price drop.

At some point I suppose I should make the effort to find a reliable US TA since I keep reading about folks taking advantage of price drops. I'm just nervous about giving up control of my booking to someone who's so far away.
