We are in Ketchikan from 7 - 3.  Would like to see either Totem Bright or Saxman.  Don't know that we will have time for both.  Which would you recommend?  We will be doing this on our own.  I believe I read we can take a taxi or bus to either one.  Thank you!

Perhaps  compare the two and see what you are most interested in?    Saxman is closer.   May have the option to see dancers..     In the past Nathan Jackson has carved there,  which is an incredible treat,  if able to observe him.     I think this area does best being guided.  In the past,   guides were readily available  at the gift shop.

Totem Bight is farther away.    Self guided is easy,  small admission.    Next door is Potlatch -  where I recommend people include-   small museum in the gift shop,   and a carver's shed out back-  to at least look in the windows.

Totem Bight is a park,  Saxman  is an open area on a steep hill.   :)

Both worthwhile seeing in my opinion.
