retiring soon Posted March 16, 2019 #6 Share Posted March 16, 2019 HI all! Late signing in as usual but nothing good to report! I was up 0.2 lbs & think I can blame it on chocolate eggs. Thursday night I was really bad when I ate almost a whole bag of chips cooked in avocado oil sprinkled with sea salt, so yummy! Not even going to mention what that did to my weight Friday morning!! Looks like a lot of us are cruising in April!! I'm on the Pearl TA April 28th. Rob which cruise are you on on the same day please? Hoping to be better behaved next week! Time is running out for losing a few pounds before my cruise! Have a nice weekend. ~ Jo ~ 😊

Woodside Lady Posted March 16, 2019 #8 Share Posted March 16, 2019 I'm late to finding this group but looking for all the motivation I can get. Since my last cruise a year ago I've lost 36 pounds. But was hoping to get to 40 pounds before our cruise on 3/30. I did lose one pound this week after being STUCK for a month. Just sticking to my 16:8 intermittent fasting, no gluten, 1/2 ounce of water/pound/day and 10,000 steps. I also do about 15 minutes of 5 lb weights 2-3 times a week. During the cruise I plan to stick to the gluten free part, mostly, increase my steps to at least 15,000 a day and take the stairs.

Hi Woodside Lady, welcome you still have a few weeks to make your goal of 40lbs by your cruise. Sounds like you have been doing great so far. We usually start a new thread here every Thursday as that is usually our weigh in day... Hope you come back and share with us and have a great cruise. Take care Rob
ITeach2Cruise Posted March 17, 2019 #10 Share Posted March 17, 2019 Hey y'all! I'm fashionably late to the weigh in party, but I just found this board on CC, which is perfect timing because I need some accountability, haha. My next cruise isn't until mid July (congrats to all who have one earlier!). I teach, so my cruise schedule falls around my job. I could prattle on and on but I will try to stick to the facts. Starting weight: 448 (January 16th, just realized it's been 3 months, whoop!) Current Weight: 390 I had a 4lb loss this week, after being "stuck" for about a week or so! I do 30-60 mins of cardio 3-5 times a week. but recently added in some strength training, and I think that's what helped get things moving on the scale. Congrats to all who had losses this week, no matter how small! As far as I'm concerned, as long as the scale is going down, or the clothes are getting looser, its a win in my book! Hi Iteach2cruise, welcome and congratulations on your losses so far. I think the strength training will also build more momentum for your weight losses. Everyone does get into a lull period when doing just cardio, think the body kind of gets used to it and adjusts itself and its great to mix up your workouts to keep them fresh. I hope you come back often and also note that each week a new thread is started on Thursday as that is our weigh in day.. Share any thoughts or ideas about what your doing and eating any time as everyone has the same goal..Where are you cruising to? Take care Rob... winewanderer Posted March 17, 2019 Author #12 Share Posted March 17, 2019 Welcome to Woodside Lady and ITeach. You both have done so well. Congrats! Jo, sorry for the small gain but really small considering the chocolate eggs. Me.....I look at chocolate and gain 5 lbs.............. Seems like many of us are crusing in April and running out of time to lose. Let's keep at it. Hope everyone is having a good Sunday. We are having nice weather, 72 today, 75 tomorrow. But, rain and cold returns Wednesday. Blah. Diana
fischymom Posted March 18, 2019 #13 Share Posted March 18, 2019 Hi everyone, down .8 since the last time. The weather here finally straightened up some and we spent yesterday afternoon outside playing with our grandson and made a bonfire last night. We will be cruising Feb 9th, 2020 and I am so excited to get my weight back down where I feel comfortable again. And I have 2 weddings in the next year so I have lots of motivation to get moving. A CC friend was on the Escape that had the problem wind but on the same night he won $15K at the casino!! DIana ~ I can't resist those little hollow chocolate eggs they have out well before Easter! Having 2 lunches out this week so wonder how that'll show up on the scales! See you all Thursdayish. BTW we have had signs of Spring here like Robins & Red Winged Blackbirds. Just wish we had the temps to match!🌷 ~ Jo ~ 😊
winewanderer Posted March 19, 2019 Author #15 Share Posted March 19, 2019 Fischymom, good loss. Jo, yes, hard to stay away from all the easter goodies. Hopefully the 2 lunches out won't be too bad.
