Credit Card Charges on Viking Ocean

When booking a Viking Ocean Cruise in the USA and excursions, where does Viking process the charges.  At one time all Viking credit card charges were processed in Europe, therefore there were currency exchange fee and if not using the correct credit card also foreign transaction fees.  Has Viking changed where credit card changes are processed?

It's billed as Viking River Cruises, California.

Their US office is in Los Angeles.

Billed from Bern Switzerland last week for a Viking "Ocean"  cruise this summer.

Booked all my excursions within the last month and they are all billed via their US office. Same as the cruise booking from last year.

What about credit card billings for purchases, tips, etc,  made on board the ship?

We've been charged a foreign exchange fee a couple of times when booking a Viking river cruise.  We have always had that fee refunded by Viking.....all you have to do is send them a copy of your statement.
