Wine package questions

My husband and I will be on NS in August for British Isles 14-day cruise. We will get a couple bottles of wine in Amsterdam before boarding. Once on board, can a wine package be purchased? Or should we purchase the package in advance? Is it a better deal to purchase bottles as we go? We like wine with dinner rather than mixed drinks or beer.

The package is the same price onboard as it is in advance. I'd wait until I was on the ship to see what the selections are. The packages are typically discounted.

Wait until you board.  Then you can see what the selection is for sure (ask if all are available of course).

Plus, I have found that the wine stewards really appreciate it when you purchase it through them (several have told me that they get "credit" for the sale).

Thanks - I'll wait and get onboard as we go. I can also buy in ports and just pay corkage fee to drink in room or at dinner, right? Not sure any of our port stops will be convenient for that, though.
