Belize City tender?

Going to be on Carnival soon.  Where does the tender drop you off in Belize City?  Is the Belize sign walking distance?  Thanks.

Yes you get dropped at the Tourism Village tender pier.  The original Belize sign is a taxi ride away, but they have another just off to the right out side the gates heading toward the lighthouse.  3 minute walk.

Thank you again!  I had no idea about two Belize signs.  Glad to know it is close by the drop off.

There is also a new sign inside the Tourism Village. It was fairly close to the tender docks.

The tender drops you off in the tourist area, if you exit to the right it's pretty close - I wouldn't stray too far though as there isn't much right outside the tourist area and it feels little run down

An alternative to the bars/restaurants inside the cruise terminal is to go over to the terminal for the ferry (as you come ashore, go as far to your left as you can, inside the cruise terminal area; exit to the street, go left about 10 yards, and go into the ferry terminal).  There are a bunch of little shops in there, along with a few restaurants & bars.  When we returned from Caye Caulker last week, we stopped in one of them; had a couple of beers & split a plate of stewed chicken, total cost was about $10 US.  Headed back to the main cruise terminal, where the tender line was really long; stepped in the Wet Lizard & had a beer & a vodka tonic for a smooth $17 US. 

So if you want to save some $, walk a short way.
