We are in the process of booking a cabin for 4 on the Conquest in late July. Do we need to worry about being too far forward or on a higher deck in terms of motion? Are the cabins below the lobby, dining rooms, galley, lounge, or below or near the pools noisy? What about engine or anchor noise, or ramps used for disembarkation at ports?

The following inside cabins are listed as curently available: 1052, 1053, 2220, 2221, 2303, 2317, 2329, 2333, 2337, 2341, 2353, 2385, 2421, 6477, 8205, 9239.

Outside cabins in 6A are: 2222,2223, 2247, 2251, 2262, 2263, 2266,2267, 2308

Has anyone been in one of these, and if so, what was your experience with the room, especially noise, motion, or smells?

Thanks to anyone who can help!

My sisters were in Conquest 2384 a couple of months ago. There was a bit more motion than in our Empress deck room, but not much. They did not report being bothered by noise. There was, however, a sewage smell in the hallways near their room. It couldn't be detected in the room itself, it just occasionally made for a less than pleasant walk to get there.

Hope this helps!

We just went on this ship and we had a room in the forward Riviera (1271 and 1273) and had no problems. It was quiet except when the crew was getting ready to tender. The tender boats were literally pulled up under our windows.

Our Group did notice that there was a sewage smell in the aft of the ship on levels Riviera, Main and Lobby after the third day. The smell was strongest on the Riviera deck but only in the aft we never smelled it in the forward area.

Hope this helps.

Here is my review of the conquest.

I will have to warn my kids of this, so that they close the curtain while getting ready in port. :D They have just been assigned a stateroom in that area. We just booked them a guarantee OV over the weekend and now they already have a stateroom assignment. Because their stateroom has been assigned, does anyone know if this could change before we cruise or is it a safe bet that they will remain in this assignment? We are fine with where they are, however it would be nice if they could be assigned a little closer to us on the Empress deck.

hello, just returned from a cruise on the conquest, 1/15-1/22 and

we were in room 1030 on the panorama deck with a balcony,

all the rooms on the panorama deck are forward and didnt seem to have much movement, very quiet deck with little traffic, very close to the pool deck, elevators never crowded, very nice location. you can just walk right out onto the pool decks from our room, the dining rooms are located in the back of the ship so had to walk to them but gave you a chance to walk thru the casino and check out photos, get some sushi on the way to dinner.
