Help Me Please

I have decided to go back to Alaska. I am looking at the Zaandam, Oosterdam or Westerdam. Was going to Europe but my girl friends wants go go back to Alaska. Am still planning on going to Panama in 2007 with my brother and his wife.

 

Have reading all your posts as this is where I get a lot of my information.

What I wanted was what ship would you suggest me going on -- as you can tell I love Holland America and so many of you have been on so many of her fine ships.

Look at the itineraries. Do you want to sail from Seattle? it appears that the ships you chose to ask about sail from there. Is ship size importamt? the Oosterdam and Westerdam are bigger and newer than the Zaandam.

 

We love the zaandam and her sisters but are trying the Westerdam next September to Alaska. You really can't go wrong on any that you picked.

 

Really, the only difference is the size and the different color schemes, and of course every ship has it's own personality. I would have a hard time deciding too, so we went with the choice based on a ship that will be new to us.

 

HAL does Alaska, as you know, very very well.

All of you need ro sit down and look at the various itineraries and decide which ports are important to you and also decide what you all like to do. Then choose a ship.

Booked the Westerdam for June 11. So now I am back to Alaska for a second time.

Congrats...hope you enjoy it even more with knowledge the second time..the Zaandam is a beautiful vessel.
