I am sure that you posted this direct reply to me because you want people to have the correct “facts”; to get the medical facts out there was my need also in my original post. So I feel it is important to add this reply:

 

Medical Fact: Urine is not an effective treatment (nor is meat tenderizer) for the sting of a jellyfish. This idea seems to come from the fact that a vinegar and baking soda plaster can help (but urine isn’t vinegar and it certainly is not universally alkaline). I understand that you know nothing about me, including any education and training that I may have, and so I don’t expect you to believe something because I say it. Therefore, I add these links from widely accessible objective sources that clearly indicate that urine not only is not an effective treatment but that it can actually make things worse for the sting victim:
