Viking Bergen to Reno (or other secondary US airport)

What was that?

We are sort of lucky in that we have a small house in Phoenix, so we fly the night before to Phoenix and then leave the next day non-stop to London.  This year we have the companion pass free on Southwest.  We had Viking Air Plus and Bus Class but canceled because we could get a better deal on British Air from Phoenix.  Our cruise starts in Stockholm and ends in London and we are going to spend a few days in Wales visiting friends after the cruise.  Jack in cloudy Reno

We are on a Homelands Cruise ending in Bergen in mid June.  We are following this with a ~3pm flight on Icelandair for an independent week of touring in Iceland.  As we live in the DC area, we could have continued onward to Dulles with a 50 min connection in Iceland (getting to DC around 7pm).  There are also direct Icelandair flights to other East Coast cities (BOS, JFK, BWI) and I believe to MSP and LAX.  I don’t know the flight  schedules and whether connections would work for other cities.   But this might be a workable alternative way to get back to the US from Bergen.
