banjineer Posted August 7, 2019 #1 Share Posted August 7, 2019 For anyone who has been in POA cabin 12000 (which is located right behind the bridge), did the bridge extension cause any problems (sightline, privacy, etc)? From a few photos and videos I found, it doesn't look like the outside bridge edge is visible from the balcony area nearest the bridge. But can't tell if that's true for the entire balcony. Is there a better side of POA for the Hawaii cruises - port or starboard? Thanks for your help!
Rare LisaLisa87 Posted August 8, 2019 #2 Share Posted August 8, 2019 No experience with that cabin, but IMO port side is better for Hawaii. We were on POA in June on the starboard side. We recently booked for January 2021 and chose port side. On our June sailing, starboard side faced the dock in all ports. Except for Kauai, the view was unimpressive. For the sail by the NaPali coast, the port side got the views first while the ship was closer.
