Viking General Question/Observation

Hi All,

Just returned from our first Viking River Cruise down the Danube. We had a great time , however just like the original post we have come away feeling slightly underwhelmed.

Food and drink was excellent and plentiful.

Included excursions where varied and the local guides where generally fantastic.

Rooms where a decent size and always kept spotlessly clean.

The service from all staff was excellent and nothing was ever too much trouble.

Entertainment was hopeless or non existent but didn't expect anything different on a River Cruise.

We are both in our late forties and as we discovered, are far from Vikings target audience.   I think the average age of our fellow passengers was well above 70 !  We thought we might be at the younger end of the passenger list but not by that much 🙂 .

There were a few younger couples on the cruise and we all felt it would have been good to have at least a few more active excursion options.

Over all the Viking package is excellent and great value for money . Its just not for us.

Would definitely use them again but maybe in 20 years or so.
