Back up plans

My plan for day one is to spend the day at Horseshoe Beach. Just in case it turns out to be a bad weather day, I need some indoor plans. I've been reading about the BUEI. What is the easiest way to get there from the dockyard? Also, is there anything else nearby it to see? Thanks.

BUEI is in Hamilton on Front St. Take the ferry. Then it is about a ten to  fifteen minute walk from the ferry terminal. Nearby is everything in Hamilton.
