mnsweeps Posted August 25, 2019 #1 Share Posted August 25, 2019 So we are on a NCL cruise docking Nymashamn in June 2020. We have been to Stockholm before and stayed 4 nights about 3 years back... Its not that we don't like Gamla Stan and other city attractions but we would like to do or see places where we have not been in Stockholm area. Any idea what we should be doing? Walking to station, train for 1 hour one way to city all seems to be too tedious and time consuming..
Desdichado62 Posted August 26, 2019 #2 Share Posted August 26, 2019 (edited) What did you do/see the previous time you were in Stockholm? The options around Nynäshamn are pretty limited and even if you have been to Stockholm it has lots to offer. There is Landsort but transportations are limited and if you want to visit the former coastal artillery you need to book in advance. Bus from Nynäshamns station leaves 09.19 and arrives at 09.56. The boat to Landsort then departs at 10.00 so there is a very small window and no room for delays. http://www.visitnynashamn.se/en/home/todo/excursions/islands/landsort.4.421534701375ce1f7f680006978.htmlhttp://www.visitnynashamn.se/en/home/todo/aktorer/batterylandsort.5.1c7e861513bbc93e94710dd.html Other things you could do in Stockholm area is to visit Sigtuna or Waxholm. Rare Redsky5292 Posted September 4, 2019 #3 Share Posted September 4, 2019 The only chocolate shop that makes the chocolates for the Noble Prize is located in Nymashamnm, it's right near the church that is set up high in the center of town: CHOKLADHUSET Welcome to ChokladHuset (the House of Chocolate). We are proud to have delivered chocolate to the Nobel NightCap-party every year since 2006. We are the only bakery in Sweden selected to produce the special Nobel NightCap praline. In the shop you can find pralines, truffles, chocolate bars, marzipan, cakes and much more. +46 73-667 54 30www.chokladhuset.com/Chokladhuset on Facebook Walking down to the marina and grabbing lunch at one of the little cafe's is a lot of fun too. There is a tourist information building in the marina, they are very helpful and can suggest a TON of stuff to do.

Kim Viktor Posted September 20, 2019 #5 Share Posted September 20, 2019 If it is a nice day and you want to see a bit of the archipelago. Then you can take a walk to Lövhagen 5 km south of the port. Beautiful nature and there is also a cozy café where you can have waffles.
