Chefs Table on Anthem

Hi, can anyone comment on the Chefs Table on Anthem? We did it twice on Brilliance which was wonderful both times and had its own special venue, but when we did it on Explorer it was shoved up the back of Chops with a sad looking room partition and no atmosphere at all. The Chef was obviously busy with the restaurant and not us, and the host knew nothing about the food or wine pairings. We are keen to try again on Anthem but only if the venue and service matches what one would expect for the price...

We did the Chef's Table last year on the Anthem.  Loved it!

 

It is in Chops, but in a private glassed-in room that must have been sound-proofed.  We didn't hear the guests in Chops at all, and the restaurant was busy.   In our experience, the food and wine were both presented nicely, and we even learned some tips about wine while there.  The chef presented each course, and waited for questions, etc. before leaving.  We were please for the value.  It was over a year ago now, so maybe someone else can speak up about a more recent experience.

We did the Anthem’s Chefs Table in September and thought it was just okay.  Comparing it to the Chefs Table on the other ships, I would rank this one well below all of the others in food quality.

My husband and I  have done the chef's table twice on  Anthem, never on another ship,  we have loved it both times. Different menu both times, very good, well presented, and good wine pairings!

We did the Chef's Table in April and had a great time.  We like the wine and food parings, and are wine drinkers, but part of the fun is meeting the people and enjoying the evening.  Guess we are not the ones who expect expensive wine.  The chef was there for every course and if there were questions answered them thoughtfully and completely.  We will be attending Chef's Table again over the Thanksgiving cruise on Anthem and know we will have a great time.
