envy4u Posted October 28, 2019 #1 Share Posted October 28, 2019 Can you share your thoughts about this island ? What shall we do? We love the beach not interested in ruins. We don’t do ship excursions. Thanks

Dancer Bob Posted November 3, 2019 #4 Share Posted November 3, 2019 They didn't mention beaches because there aren't any. They're an expensive taxi ride away. Really nothing to do except sit in bars. The WiFi they mention is too slow to be useable. There may still be a coffee shop with useable WiFI, otherwise, stay on the ship. Much different from Mahogany Bay in Roatan. anngi Posted November 13, 2019 #5 Share Posted November 13, 2019 Sosua beach is about an hour away by cab. Very nice calm beach in a bay where you can buy a lounge chair for $2 and umbrella for same price. If you snorkel can take a boat out or swim out 15 minutes. There are 2 reefs. Souvenir stalls and restaurants line the beach. On way back can stop in supermarket to buy coffee, rum etc.
Boolarong Posted November 17, 2019 #6 Share Posted November 17, 2019 I've read that you can walk along a path for about 20 minutes to reach a beach. I haven't been though.
