Canbo sea turtle 🐢 release

Hi ! I just found this tour through Viator and it has no reviews.. Has anyone done this?

It says you get to visit a Sea Turtle rescue facility and then participate in a beach release.

I assume you meant to type "Cabo". 

 

We haven't done it there, but we have done a sea turtle release from a sanctuary in Cuyutlan, which is about 45 minutes from Manzanillo, and we really enjoyed it. It gave us something to feel good about that day... in some small way we contributed to the preservation of one of earth's creatures.

Ahhh yes I did mean Cabo!!  😀 hahaha. Sorry!   And thank you for the info!   It looks to be really nice and a good thing to do....just want to make sure it isn't a tourist gimmick.

Well, you could say that almost every excursion is a "tourist gimmick" to a certain extent. Of course my endorsement was solely of the facility we visited in Cuyutlan. The place appears to be a legitimate sanctuary and educational center. I can't speak to the legitimacy of the Cabo tour.
