Another FIRST for NCL!!!!!!!!!

Not really a first.

NCL had the Norwegian Dream based out of NOLA until last year.

I know. We were on the 02/22/04 nightmare cruise where the barge was sunk at the mouth of the Mississippi and RCL could not get out, Carnival had to go to Gulf Port MS and the Dream wa able to go up a commerical canal to a port about 15 miles East of the city. They were able to do this because the the top half of the smoke stack could be lowered on to it's side and we could go under some bridges. It still made us miss a port.

First cruise ship with regularly scheduled cruises out of New Orleans since Katrina and 7 day cruises at that!

 

My NCL Sun cruise last November was relocated to Houston and I'm looking forward to my NCL Sun this November leaving from its proper port.
