imatarb Posted February 6, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 6, 2006 Do these rooms only accomodate two people? We are a family of two adults and one 7-yr old, and we are entertaining the idea of switching our booking from the Enchantment to the Mariner, but we'd love to get a Promenade room. Thanks... herb Posted February 6, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 6, 2006 Unfortunately, yes only 2 :( We were a party of 3 and were hoping to book a promenade cabin when we sailed. We made do with our oceanview :D
imatarb Posted February 6, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted February 6, 2006 We have never sailed the Voyager class, and we're entertaining the idea of transferring our booking to the Mariner for the 12/10 sailing date. We've always been so spoiled by booking a balcony or JS, but we'd have to go for the inside to save a few bucks...I'm sure it would be okay, since there's so much to do, right? Schplinky Posted February 6, 2006 #4 Share Posted February 6, 2006 The new promenade rooms on Fredom class will accommodate whole families but on Voyager class, it's strictly two per room.
imatarb Posted February 6, 2006 Author #5 Share Posted February 6, 2006 I think I'll wait for prices to drop a bit before I venture aboard the Freedom!
superjerryw Posted February 6, 2006 #6 Share Posted February 6, 2006 I'm sure it would be okay, since there's so much to do, right? It really depends on what you like to do. The Voyager class ships have mini-golf, in line skating, ice skating, etc. If you are not going to avail yourselves of the activities peculiar to a Voyager class ship you may not find you have more to do than on any other ship. imatarb Posted February 6, 2006 Author #7 Share Posted February 6, 2006 I think our son will get a kick out of the extra kid's pool area on the Mariner, plus I'd like to try a Voyager class, so I can at least say I've done it, and that I'd do it again or not. Schplinky Posted February 6, 2006 #8 Share Posted February 6, 2006 We loved Navigator (her twin) and the Royal Promenade. It was also odd to be at sea and see an ice capades type show.
