FATJACK Posted February 7, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 7, 2006 I'm a big and hungry person and usually travel first class. I have been on two HAC in the last year in the DVS and have found the robes to be too small. Does HAC offer larger robes:( and if not, why not. tomc Posted February 7, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 7, 2006 You could always ask the cabin steward if a larger size is available.
Steamboatin Posted February 7, 2006 #3 Share Posted February 7, 2006 We have cruised HAL twice and both times robe will fit me but it is tight. We asked in the shop and at the front desk if a larger size could be purchased so that we would have a set for home. The answer we always received is that the size in the cabin is the size that they sell. So being that the robe was tight we did not purchase any robes. This does not directly answer your question but may give you some insight. Try calling HAL up and asking them. By the way, hope you have better luck with HAL telephone answers than we have experienced.
Krazy Kruizers Posted February 7, 2006 #4 Share Posted February 7, 2006 No, HAL does not have large size robes for larger people. DH's shoulders don't fit into their robes - thus he never wears them. Guess HAL thinks that everyone should be the same size.
bellebaby Posted February 7, 2006 #5 Share Posted February 7, 2006 I think HAL purchases their robes from Cypress. Take a look at http://www.cypressretail.com I believe the robe that was in the cabin on our last Volendam cruise was the Waffle - 52" Shawl - 05001H, but I could be wrong. Most of the styles are one size fits all, but a few come in XL and even XXL. Of course if you order these robes, they won't have the HAL logo.
