Granduer of the Seas October-November 2020

Recommended Posts

We are booked on two 11 day back to backs on the Grandeur beginning October 29.   Does anyone think that the cruise will actually happens or will the Governor of Maryland or other agencies block those two cruises?

We were cancelled out of our April 4th cruise and am concerned about making final payment on these two as the process of getting refunds and/or future cruise credits is flawed and really a mess.

Thanks

Doubtful that any useful news will come out between now and final payment. To be fair, refunds have been getting much better in terms of timing.

Biker, who would make final payment and enjoy the sailing, or take the refund if it doesn't sail.

I know of someone on the March 5th cruise on the Grandeur to no where as no port would let them dock.  After 12 days the Governor of Maryland let them come back.  They still haven't gotten their refund.  We were booked on the April 4 on the Grandeur and got our refund a month ago.  So there doesn't seem to be any policy being followed.  We also get future cruise credits from the April 4th and I had to argue with them for a month or so to get them applied to two back to backs in February of 2021.

That was the March 7-19 Grandeur cruise.  We were allowed to dock at Dominica and Barbados.  Still waiting for the refund.  TA has inquired twice.  Just cancelled the deluxe beverage for the March 26, 2021, final Grandeur cruise.  RCCL told me it would take 45 days for the credit card refund.  OBC was returned immediately.  Received the deposit for an RCCL cancelled September 2020 cruise rather quickly.
