Now that you mention it, yeah actually they did. See above. They added some balconies midships on both sides. These balconies were located directly below the suite balconies that were original with the ships and were integral to the hull. The added balconies were welded on and stuck out a bit (looked a little strange, imho). As you can also see, there were balconies added on to the sides aft (both sides) as well as aft facing balconies.
