jmarks Posted February 10, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 10, 2006 Whew! Just finished booking our cruise/lodge vacation in June and have one more step, trip insurance. Cancellation penalties are pretty stiff all the way around, so it seems like a good idea. Any recommendations? Thanks.

S.S.Oceanlover Posted February 10, 2006 #3 Share Posted February 10, 2006 another recommendation for http://www.insuremytrip.com. It gives you the ability to compare different policies and choose the one that best fits your needs. I usually wind up with Travelex lite. It cover kids 16 and under free and also provides primary coverage so you don't have to submit claims to other insurances first. Bill

mom23guys Posted February 12, 2006 #6 Share Posted February 12, 2006 I booked mine at www. travelinsured.com. They are listed on insuremytrip but the prices were a lot higher than I got on-line. This is the one the TA recommended and I had an agency number so I don't know if that effected the price.
JohnQ Posted February 14, 2006 #7 Share Posted February 14, 2006 We have also used insuremytrip twice, and never had problem, but then never had claim either. Good place to compare plans and companies.
CaribbeanBound Posted February 14, 2006 #8 Share Posted February 14, 2006 I have always used Travelex's TraveLite product. Never had a claim in 4 trips. My father also used them on his last trip, made claims, and said he was very satisfied. Note that it is very important to maintain all of your documentation "proofs".
