Seas around Japan

We are looking at a cruise that circles Japan in cherry blossom season (spring.)  Can anyone with experience tell us what the ocean is typically like?  What's the likelihood of rough seas?  Remaining cabins for next spring seem to be only in the bow and that mixed with rough seas might not be a comfortable choice.

We did the circumnavigation in mid April in 2019.   I too am a fair weather sailor and only recall one night when it was just a little rough.   Of course each year will be different.
My advice is book,  and keep checking cabins every so often because some will cancel along the way.     Or book for the following year as a back up,

It was one of our favourite trips ever,  but do try to stay another two weeks if possible, there is so much to see!
