Taxis available in 2021?

We will be cruising in Oct 2021 - and wondering if we can get off the ship and catch a taxi to a beach?  Really would a few hours at a beach (not Maho) to just relax and enjoy the water.  But as we are slowly coming out of covid, is this possible, or are we going to be required to take excursions?

Cannot be certain this far out, but if you are or will be fully vaccinated, I predict with confidence that you will be able to get a taxi at the port to go to a beach.

There were cabs at the stand a couple of weeks ago. We went to mullet bay.

super - thanks for the info.  Yes, we are fully vaccinated - so that is very good news.  (and yes, we still have a ways to go, so I know things COULD change.

 

And.... how was Mullet Bay?

We were just there last Wednesday, easy to get a taxi to Orient Beach, $25 each way.  2 chairs and an umbrella for $20.  Beach was beautiful.
