Your hotel web site says to take the vap to the Rialto Bridge stop

I don't know how long you will be in Venice or ifyou have lots of luggage?

That may make a difference in the fare

You buy a ticket and validate it in a white machine before boarding

You can also buy from the conductor on board

You can use Google to see fare and the process more specifically

The vap is just like a bus at home. It is not a great thing to use with lots of luggage

Buses arrive in Venice at Piazzale Roma.  It's not so much a bus station as a parking lot with a section for busses to park at.

After you exit the bus, turn back toward the direction that your bus followed across the bridge to get into the parking area.  In front of you and off to the right, you should see the ACTV vaporetto transportation center.  You go there to purchase your desired ticket(s) for the vaporetto.  You can buy single use tickets or day-long or multi-day passes.  Research your options in advance.  You may wish to study the maps at the station to locate where you are and where you are going.  After you buy your ticket, proceed to the right some more down to the "Piazzale Roma" vaporetto stop.  Touch your ticket to the electric gate device and prepare to board a vaporetto.

Your hotel is located very close to the "Rialto" stop of the vaporetto so this is your destination stop.  From where you start, you can ride a few different vaporetto lines (routes) to get to Rialto.   The #1 vaporetto and the #2 vaporetto are the primary ones.  If it is night time, then the "N" vaporetto is used.  But we'll assume you're arriving in daylight for the rest of these directions.

Route #1 is a vaporetto that stops at each of the stops between your origin and destination.  Your destination would be the 7th stop.

Route #2 is a vaporetto that is more of an "express".  It doesn't stop at every stop.  So it is a faster journey.  Your destination would be the 2nd stop.

The N vaporetto also stops at each of the stops.

Both #1 and #2 stop at your destination, the Rialto stop.  So you can pick either one based upon whichever one shows up first, or whichever has more room on it, or based on your desire to go fast, or based on your desire to go slow so you can more fully absorb the amazing ride.  You pick.  You will be navigating through the Venice Grand Canal.  It doesn't get much more special than this.

Decide which line you wish to use.  Then look for signs that indicate the boarding position for that line.  There are a couple boat docks at most stops.  Some have a separate little shelter for each. So it can be a little confusing, but study the signs and line up at the right spot until you see your boat coming.  Ask someone if you're confused.  They will help you.

Each vaporetto that  approaches will have the line number signed on it.  So if you're taking #1, look for a #1 sign on the approaching boat.  It's important that you get on the right boat.

When you board, if you have a lot of luggage, you may have challenges.  You will need to be able to manage your luggage on and off with little or no assistance.  Each boat has an employee at the boarding area who may or may not offer to help you.  They are there primarily to keep things moving.  There is no specific area for luggage storage on board.  So do your best and try to do it fast.  If your luggage quantity/size is impacting the ability of others to use the service, they may not let you board.  Once on board, keep track of your belongings.  These boats can get very crowded.

Keep track of how many stops  you've gone and how many more you have to go before you get to Rialto.  Try to start moving toward the boat exit just prior to your stop.  You'll need to make sure it's obvious that you want off at that stop when it is time.  Each stop will be signed with its name.  The employee also announces it (quickly and in Italian, so listen closely).

Once you get off at the Rialto stop, your hotel is just to the left of the stop.

This is how it all worked when I was last in Venice.  Hopefully it's still the same.
