Question about cheers out of Galveston.

We are leaving port out of Galveston on a Saturday.  I know the Cheers package doesn't start until day 2.  So do they count the day of departure as day 1 or the 1st full day on the ship?

You are not charged for the first day. Cheers begins at 6:00am on day 2. Any drinks the first day will be charged individually to your S&S card and tax while inside Texas water.

Embarkation day is Day 1 and the Cheers package is not in effect for Galveston. No part of the package is available on the first day, special coffees, bottles of water or soda so just keep this in mind.

So...... With Cheers you aren't charged for Day 1. If we board on Sunday, and cruise ends on Saturday, are we only charged for Mon - Fri? 5 days?

Correct for cruises out of Galveston and NYC.

only for certain ports. Because in those ports, your package doesn’t work on day 1.  When departing florida, you will be charged 6 days since the package is active when you board the ship.
